Location: FM 420, Kountze, TX 77625, United States.

The Big Thicket National Preserve was established by Congress in 1974. This combination of virgin pine and cypress forest, hardwood forest, meadow, and blackwater swamp is managed by the National Park Service. The preserve was established to protect the remnant of its complex biological diversity.

The preserve covers a lot of land with a multitude of different ecosystems. Very well maintained ground. Great biodiversity, you can indulge in bird watching, canoeing, hunting, boating, fishing, camping, kayaking, backpacking or simple strolling through the forest.
